![]() ![]() The Nvidia cards are a lot better for laptops. (Plus the GPU Apple uses isn't really a gaming card but should hold when playing on medium-high settings depending on mods. Software wise the Apple OS can be wonky, but it usually runs Skylines okay. I personally don't like Apple because I have very different priorities for my hardware, but unless you're getting one of them 17" HP steel workstation (don't, you might as well carry around a small desktop instead) it's gonna get a little sweaty regardless of the brand and model. They are simply not optimised to run heavy games. Hence the Air models are clocked down to a point where they are glorified tablets and the Pros are sitting at the bottom of the performance food chain. The game introduces new game play elements to realize the thrill and hardships of creating. However Apple generally favours sleek and thin designs, and the thinner they get, the harder it is to build in proper cooling and ventilation. Cities: Skylines is a modern take on the classic city simulation. Cramming hardware in a small frame is going to cause cooling issues, this goes for any compact high powered device. I've been a long time laptop user due to the convenience, but the fact of the matter is they all run hot. ![]()
